Bandwidth will be performing an emergency firewall software update in our LAX data center. While Bandwidth is taking necessary steps to minimize impact to calls and messages sent through the LAX data center, there may be a brief disruption of services.
Outbound Voice (termination) calls: Customers may choose to route all calls through their geo-redundant site during this maintenance window to eliminate any potential impact.
SMS/MMS Messaging: Customers may choose to point their messaging traffic to the geo-redundant DFW data center to avoid any potential service disruption.
The following services will not be impacted during the maintenance:
Emergency (911) voice calling
HTTP Voice/Messaging services
Number Ordering, Provisioning, Management API services
For assistance defining your specific geo-redundant location or for any additional clarification, please reach out to our Customer Success Team via the bandwidth.com/support portal.
